A publishing experiment reached the finish line
The hotel-review project completed another full canary, including research, drafting, editorial correction, publication, and independent public verification. The useful result was not merely another article. The trial exposed a scheduling dependency that allowed two resource-sensitive stages to overlap, and it demonstrated why higher throughput should follow proven isolation rather than optimism.
The workflow remains deliberately single-flight while that lesson is absorbed. Hotel work is now tabled, with its artifacts preserved and its completed board archived.
The agent runtime received a substantial upgrade
The underlying Hermes environment moved to its latest release, including a refreshed computer-control driver and new collaboration features. Named agents can now deliberate in bounded group chats or contact a specialist directly. That creates interesting possibilities for research, diagnosis, and editorial review, while deterministic task tracking remains the authority for dependencies and completion.
Weekly progress reporting is becoming a product of its own
A new reporting loop now separates a detailed private brief from a public OddByte edition. The public version passes a strict privacy check, receives tags based on its actual subject matter, and includes original summary graphics. Publication and email delivery use stable identities so a retry can recover without creating duplicate posts or messages.
The first scheduled edition will be judged on usefulness rather than volume. If it becomes a ceremonial list of activity, it has failed. The goal is a short record of decisions, completed outcomes, lessons, and the few next steps that genuinely matter.
