President William Howard Taft was provided a grand reception at the Mount Desert Reading Room on his 3 day visit to Bar Harbor.

The Maine Central Railroad purchased the Mount Desert Reading Room and leased it to the Bar Harbor Yacht Club.

During World War II, the U.S. Navy leased the building and used it as an observation headquarters.

A group of townspeople joined together to develop the Hotel Bar Harbor to include the Mount Desert Reading Room and the addition of a 40-room wing.

The Oceanfront Lodge building was constructed adding 64 additional guest rooms to the property.

We easily went into Acadia each day.

The location of this hotel is perfect- close enough to walk to the downtown area but far enough away to feel quiet and relaxed.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is appreciated by many travelers for its spacious and comfortable rooms, though some note occasional noise and housekeeping issues.

The hotel's location is convenient for accessing attractions, but guests warn of long walks due to the property's size.

The Dig Site pool with its faux-Mayan pyramid was the highlight of this resort, as my daughter loves an epic pool.

The rooftop restaurants, Dahlia and Toledo, really make this 'moderate' resort feel almost Deluxe.

It's a bus-only resort—no fancy monorails, Skyliners, etc.—which we didn't care about because we sleep late on vacation and never rush around with a checklist trying to do everything.

First of, getting someone is hard after 10pm.

But the good point of living in Disney resort is that you gain early entry to the parks , also free parking.

As a whole, Coronado Springs Resort is Walt Disney World’s biggest convention hotel.

Coronado Springs Resort is not adjacent to any of the theme parks, so guests of this resort must rely upon bus transportation or their own vehicles.

There is no boat or monorail transportation from Coronado Springs Resort to any of the theme parks or Disney Springs.

Beyond the pool and its 123-foot water slide, there’s also an arcade, play area, Siesta’s bar, volleyball court, and the largest hot tub at Walt Disney World.

First, there’s Three Bridges Bar & Grill, a new over-the-water dining option that offers views of the fireworks at both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Inside Gran Destino Tower, there’s Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood and Dahlia Lounge on the top floor, which are both high end and chic.

The television is a significant upgrade (in both size and quality), and there are now in-room Keurig machines.

Coronado Springs is very spread out with Lago Dorado, a 22-acre lake, in the center.

Enjoyed the pool, Three Bridges and Dahlia Lounge during our short stay.

The pool area was awesome, the restaurants were great, and the hotel and grounds were, well, stunning.

We took ubers late at night back to the hotel room and the walk was very long to our rooms (they only drop you off at the front of the hotel)

The rooms were clean and spacious. The busses were on time and we didn’t feel a wait longer than we had at the value resorts. The restaurants were above expectation and we really enjoyed the layout.

What impressed guests about this resort was the bevy of on-site amenities, which range from a playground and arcade to a spa and fitness center.

We stayed in the cabanas section and the rooms were so nice and felt very private. The views were absolutely amazing!

We were in the Ranchos 6B. The room was worn out and depressing.

Where my disappointment lies is with the Pepper Market and the way they handle the Quick Service Dining Plans.

We stayed in the Cabanas last time in August for our 52nd Anniversary… A short walk to the Dig pool.

Honestly, you do way more walking in WDW than you think. If walking is a problem, rent a scooter.

The busses here work better than ANY other disney resort.

The highlight of the reconceived space must be the Library. Oh, what a joy. Behind locked doors (only accessible to hotel guests- quite right!) is a two story monument to an oasis within a mirage.

One is there is no coffee/tea makers in the room. You can call for coffee and tea at any hour of the day or night, but I like multiple cups of tea over the evening/morning and I need strong coffee to get me up in the morning and this was a real shortcoming for me.

This is a wonderfully restored property. It is run by a great team. The rooms are cute and comfy. The pool is a great treat. There is great coffee in the office early morning.

Beyond the incredible cool factor of sleeping in a wigwam, these individual conical concrete cabins are clean and warmly dressed with western style. For a bit of extra retro Mother Road fun, the parking lot is adorned with a variety of beautiful cars from the 1950s.

Shower was miniature and the tiles were either filthy or very worn.

The main drawback is there’s no coffee in the room or the lobby.

The nice thing about the village is that the cars are parked right out front of the wigwams, so it is easy to bring in all the bags.

The rooms are fairly small and round, so they only have the very necessary of things. Our room had two double beds, a small desk and a chair. We also had a small flat screen TV and a mirror.

Because the rooms are built from concrete, they are pretty cold and especially the floor felt freezing.

You could say that the room was a little ascetic, but it had everything we needed, and it was clean.

We were also pleasantly surprised that the wifi was working fine, as I had read earlier in some reviews that claimed otherwise.

One special thing about the Wigwam Villages is that there are vintage cars parked in front of the teepees. Many people seemed to stop by just to take photos of the cars.

Small pieces of trees were sold in the reception which was built into an old Texaco station. They also had a small museum there.

Making a reservation was a drag. Their website was difficult to find and they didn’t offer any online reservation option. It stated on their website that you can book a room by emailing or calling them. In reality, their reply to my email just said that I have to call.

Since we were on the move all day long without cell service, and the reception was only open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., for a moment I considered forgetting the whole idea.

We continued the next day to Petrified Forest National Park which was only about 20 minutes away from the Wigwam Village.

Don’t forget to stop at the Meteor Crater and Walnut Canyon National Monument along the way.

I’ve heard of Wigwam Motel from film photographers who stop by this spot as a photography destination.

They really need to work on their customer service on replying email and practicing Covid protocols though.

The Resort offers a complimentary complex shuttle daily (hours may vary) that stops at the Opry Mills Mall in front of Madame Tussaud's The Inn at Opryland and the Cascades Canopy at the Resort.

The Gaylord Opryland has three pools. There are two seasonal outdoor pools: the Cascades Pool features food and beverage service and a childrens pool, and the Magnolia Pool offers refreshments only.

we did get slightly turned around once in the complex with where to enter, park and valet; but once we found our bearings, the valet and check-in process was smooth.

with the bar and restaurant in that atrium — and live music at the bar some nights — it can be a bit loud in the guestroom.

The best thing about our guestroom was the size! The spacious accommodation opened into a small threshold with a little alcove to the left that boasted a single sink and mirror on one side and a closet opposite.

We took advantage of several hours at SoundWaves, the on-site, 4-acre indoor and outdoor waterpark.

We hopped on the Delta Riverboat Rides which take you through the resort’s indoor gardens, with a tour guide offering insight into the property.

Of the many on offer, we tried Cascades American Cafe, with an ample breakfast buffet; Fuse Sports Bar; and Solario Cantina for delicious Mexican.

Currently, Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center offers more than 760,000 square feet of event space across 90 rooms.

Gaylord Opryland recently announced a $131 million expansion, with planned completion in spring 2027, that will add a new ballroom and other event space.

This hotel was extremely bare bones. There was not a coffeemaker in the room, nor was coffee available in the lobby, except for breakfast.

The front desk person was not a people person at all. At check in I wasn't told the breakfast hours, how to connect to WiFi, or told what time check out was.

Place was not clean are baby was walking around in room and his feet turned black from the filthy floor.

Staff were fantastic. They went above and beyond. As we were all dealing with the power outages. Made our unexpected stay a pleasure.

The breakfast was bad. They were short staffed, but the staff available did their best.

Food was quite terrible and the coffee machine produced no cofffee. There was overwhelming stench of marijuana in the hallway and in the back entrance area

Our pool is indoor & heated & we have hot tub also

There is no elevator, only stairs to reach the second floor, which may be difficult for some guests. The stairwells were never cleaned during our stay and had stains and trash in them the entire time.

When we arrived, we were told our room that was booked three months earlier was given away (they were overbooked by 3 rooms).
