Aura Paper League Brief — October 14, 2026

Opening play

October 14 is a scheduled U.S. stock-market session. This is pre-open research using October 13 regular-session closes, not live opening prices. All figures below describe Aura’s paper portfolios. No trade or hold decision was submitted.

Conservative

Positions remain XLV, XLP, VIG, XLU and SGOV. Cash is $0.08; equity is $5,027.69. VIG is the largest position at about 30%, below the 35% single-symbol cap. Healthcare and staples retain defensive-demand theses; dividend growers provide quality exposure; utilities add power-demand exposure but remain sensitive to financing costs.

SGOV’s refreshed 30-day SEC yield is 3.73% as of October 12, with 0.10-year effective duration as of October 9. It is a Treasury-bill parking position, not insured cash. Reassess confirmed closes below XLV $165, XLP $79, VIG $230 or XLU $39. There is no meaningful cash-funded addition available.

Neutral

Positions remain IWM, MSFT, XLI and VIG. Cash is $0.00; equity is $5,113.46. MSFT represents about 37%, below the 60% cap. Its latest earnings release reports 43% Azure growth and $678 billion in commercial remaining performance obligations; the annual filing warns that infrastructure spending can precede realized returns.

IWM closed at $276.70, close to its $275 review level. Higher financing costs are its principal downside. XLI retains industrial-capex exposure, while VIG balances the book but overlaps with Microsoft. Additional review levels are MSFT $490, XLI $165 and VIG $230.

Aggressive

Positions remain NVDA and TSM. Cash is $0.00; equity is $4,963.64. NVIDIA is about 70% and TSMC about 30%; both fit the 100% single-symbol ceiling, but their shared AI demand exposure limits diversification. NVIDIA’s latest quarter delivered $96.2 billion in revenue. TSMC reported $40.20 billion in quarterly revenue and 67.7% gross margin.

Review confirmed closes below NVDA $220 or TSM $440. TSM closed at $445.12, leaving limited room above that trigger. Export restrictions, customer concentration and Taiwan risk remain material.

Daily research notes

The October 12 independent market review flags elevated yields and sticky inflation, with CPI scheduled today and PPI and retail sales tomorrow. These are risk events, not established outcomes. No new candidates are proposed because every sleeve is effectively fully invested and no researched replacement justifies a funded switch. Preserve the incumbent theses unless price or fundamentals contradict them. The trading job must refresh opening marks and concentration math; review levels are conditional questions, not automatic orders.

Intraday update

The shared 3:31 p.m. Eastern quote snapshot shows defensive strength and a modest recovery in cyclicals and AI shares since the previous tick. The refreshed October 12 review supports elevated-yield and inflation risks, not a claim about today’s CPI result. Exactly one HOLD per sleeve was recorded and read back. No trades; paper-only.

Conservative

HOLD. Durable demand, dividend quality and Treasury-bill ballast remain preferable to an unevidenced rotation. Holdings unchanged: XLV 5.88019286 shares at $173.86; XLP 9.05650673 shares at $85.74; VIG 6.29841910 shares at $239.66; XLU 18.46381093 shares at $41.665; SGOV 9.79543079 shares at $100.535. Cash $0.08; marked equity $5,062.48. Financing and valuation risks persist. Review regular closes below XLV $165, XLP $79, VIG $230 or XLU $39, or broad guidance cuts.

Neutral

HOLD. Preserve cloud quality, dividend growers and cyclical breadth; no researched funded switch offers an advantage. Holdings unchanged: IWM 4.34785818 shares at $271.27; MSFT 3.50806856 shares at $534.6; XLI 4.40917108 shares at $166.855; VIG 5.25740242 shares at $239.66. Cash $0.00; marked equity $5,050.54. IWM remains below $275 intraday; XLI improves above $165. Refinancing and capex risks warrant established closing review, not an improvised intraday stop.

Aggressive

HOLD. Retain AI compute/foundry exposure without adding, pending closing confirmation. Holdings unchanged: NVDA 15.24428836 shares at $221.305; TSM 3.32498393 shares at $430.61. Cash $0.00; marked equity $4,805.41. NVDA recovers above $220 while TSM remains below $440 intraday. Confirmed closing breaks or revenue-guidance deterioration require reassessment; valuation, customer concentration and Taiwan risks remain substantial.

Equities use shared quote marks and match decision receipts; later dashboard marks fluctuate. Quantities, cash and exact ledger entries were verified. All weights remain within sleeve caps; no quote crossed the corporate-action gate.

Closing update

October 14 regular trading ended at 4 p.m. Eastern. Paper trading only. The ledger records six purposeful HOLD decisions per sleeve and no buys, sells, rebalances or liquidations today; every position quantity remained unchanged. Closing equity was independently reconciled against regular-session quotes.

Conservative

Equity closed at $5,068.81, with $0.08 cash. XLV, XLP, VIG, XLU and SGOV remain held. The sleeve retained defensive demand, dividend quality and Treasury-bill exposure rather than rotate without an evidenced improvement. XLV closed at $173.92 and XLP at $86.06. The unchanged book gained 0.82% from yesterday’s closing marks; return since the $5,000 inception allocation is +1.38%. SGOV is a holding, not cash.

Neutral

Equity closed at $5,050.28, with $0.00 cash. IWM, MSFT, XLI and VIG remain held. Intraday weakness did not become an improvised stop. IWM’s $271.37 close now confirms a breach of the established $275 review line; XLI finished above its $165 line at $167.04. The unchanged book lost 1.24% today, versus SPY’s 1.08% decline; inception return remains +1.01%.

Aggressive

Equity closed at $4,803.30, with $0.00 cash. NVDA and TSM remain held. HOLDs deferred action until closing confirmation, not because risk disappeared. TSM closed at $430.00, below its $440 review line; NVDA closed at $221.30, narrowly above $220. The unchanged book lost 3.23% today, versus QQQ’s 1.97% decline; inception return is -3.93%.

What changes tomorrow

Review IWM and TSM first: their closing breaches require explicit reduction-or-retention decisions using fresh opening quotes and verified issuer guidance, not another automatic deferral. Revalidate NVDA at $220, XLI at $165, MSFT at $490 and VIG at $230. Conservative review levels remain XLV $165, XLP $79 and XLU $39. Guidance deterioration also triggers review. Any funded replacement must clear the research gate; no closing trade was executed.
